The Erase-O-Matic 3 magnetic media eraser/degausser erases various forms of High-Oersted Media, computer hard drives and tape cartridges, including LTO-1, LTO-2, LTO-4, SDLT I, SDLT II, 3480, 3490, 3590, 9840, 9940, 4MM, 8MM, digital video, Zip and Jazz disks, AIT & S-AIT, hard drives up to 40 Gb, Audio, betacam, dvcam, dvpro, hdcam, hi-8, pc diskettes, VHS, and more.
The Erase-O-Matic 3's 6700 gauss rating is strong enough to destroy all data on any tape or PC diskette media and most hard drives when properly passed through the 5" x 1.37" media pathway.
Powerful and quiet enough to use at your office desk, this unit utilizes the latest permanent magnet technology instead of electricity, making this unit fully portable and deployable for use in mobile degaussing applications. Inside the unit, there is a 2 1/2 pound core of rectangular-shaped structural steel that surrounds the permanent magnets. This steel core concentrates the magnetic field around your media, providing top-quality erasure. Simple and Quiet Two-Pass Operation
Slide your tape cartridge through the slot opening of the 6700 Gauss magnetic field of the degausser. Flip the cartridge over and slide it through again. Your tape is erased. Mobile and Deployable: No External Power Required
This degausser uses permanent magnets and is thus a stand-alone unit that does not require electrical power. It is fully deployable for on-site and emergency degaussing. The Erase-O-Matic 3:
